How did religion start? And a few other thoughts..?

Religion started with the fear of ghosts. One ritual that prehistoric humans did, no matter what part of the planet they were living, is preservation and attempts at appeasing dead bodies. This indicates that humans began to suspect that there was a reality beyond death. That was the start of all religious beliefs.
