Can Obama shake reputation as one of the most polarizing Presidents in history if he doesn't break from Pelosi?

Obama must break from Pelosi and Reid in order to be successful. He doesn't have to turn his back on his party, just start reining them in. Pelosi and Reid should have used more caution in pushing their agenda. Now the cat is out of the bag, and they are chasing their tails. Obama has to distance himself from those left wing loons and get more moderate and do it fast.
