What was the cause of WWI. what was the outcome and why was germany upset with the Versailles Treaty?

The cause was imperialism...all european countries were trying to build empires. Germany, and Turkey lost...and the treaty was so onerous, that it set up the world for ww2....the germans were no more at fault for the war than any other european country...but the concessions they had to give were ridiculous
