I am in the navy how much is base house?

i am stationed in ca.and in the navy .my wife and me and my child live on base and i am a rp,but but question they charge be 1300 a mth for housing and electric.Does that sound right.I am hardly making enough money to stay afloat? my ck is only 700 every 2 weeks.Help ? i need to know.
